Robert Emile began in New Zealand and found its purpose in the Kingdom of Morocco. Arriving there in his teens, a young man learned the language, the culture and the craft, and found his calling in design by working alongside weavers and artisans to help their work endure and grow.

Today the studio works with over 100 craftsmen and women, supplying interior designers, retailers and developers in more than 15 countries.

Rhymes with a meal. Not with email. We have been Robert Email, Robert Emily and once, memorably, Robert Emu. We answer to all of them, but it is eh-MEEL.
