Upstairs at Hausu
Low lighting, red curtains and a room that gives the records its full attention.
Upstairs at Hausu appeals to us because the music has helped shape the whole room. Above the Peckham restaurant, the listening bar brings together warm timber, deep colour and curtains that make the space feel intimate. There is something particularly good about a room that can draw you in before you have even chosen a drink.
We like the balance of care and informality here. The sound matters, the surroundings have character, and the evening has somewhere to go without needing much of a plan. It is the sort of place we would choose for a catch-up that leaves room for listening, too. A record you recognise, one you want to ask about, and the possibility of staying for the next.
