Riads, kasbahs and desert camps worth the journey

BE Agafay

Canvas, warm light and an open horizon

BE Agafay makes the landscape the starting point. Yurts and bungalows sit against the pale, stony ground, their intimate scale keeping the surrounding space in view. At dusk, the illuminated canvas gives the camp a particularly beautiful presence: small pools of warmth beneath an expansive sky.

There is more to the stay than the evening photograph. Pools, the Hideaway restaurant and activities including yoga and pottery offer different ways to spend time here. The setting encourages a change of pace, with the camp providing places to gather as well as retreat.

For The R.E Edit, the strongest image is the simplest one: a softly lit shelter in a vast landscape. It captures something we keep returning to in hospitality—the pleasure of feeling both protected and close to the outdoors.
